Circulation of Petitions for 2019 Consolidated Elections
PRESS RELEASE
FROM THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK

August 29, 2018

It is time for the circulation of petitions for the 2019 Consolidated Elections.  Since the City of Dixon is a non-partisan municipality, the City residents running for office must file as if there would be a Primary Election depending on how many people turn in petitions.  That Consolidated Primary will be held on February 26, 2019.  If there is no Consolidated Primary Election needed, the names of the candidates will be placed on the ballot for the Consolidated Election to be held on April 2, 2019 for the following offices:

Mayor for the City of Dixon (4 year term)

Councilman for the City of Dixon (4 year term) –  Two (2)

Candidates in Dixon will be required to file their nomination petitions in the City of Dixon Clerk’s office, 121 West Second Street, during business hours from Monday, November 19, 2018 through Monday, November 26, 2018.  On Monday, November 26, 2018, the clerk’s office will remain open until 5:00pm.  City Hall will be closed Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23, 2018.

The signatures for the Primary Petition for Non-partisan-Municipality can begin immediately up until the deadline for filing, November 26, 2018, 5:00pm.
