DEA Drug Drop-Off October 22, 2016

The Dixon Police Department is taking part in the Nationwide Prescription Drug Take-Back that is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice – Drug Enforcement Administration.  The Department will be a drop-off point for the turn-in of medications.  The program takes place on Saturday, October 22th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Dixon Public Safety Building, located at 220 South Hennepin Avenue.  The DEA and its partners are conducting the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day at sites nationwide.  The program provides the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.  The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
