Police and Fire Commissioner

bob.jpg Bob Shomaker has served as Commissioner on the Police and Fire Board since 1987. Commissioner Shomaker has been an Independent Insurance Agent for 28 years in Dixon. He graduated from Dixon High School, Georgia Southern University (1972) with a B.S in Criminal Justice. Commissioner Shomaker is married with two children.

 

Police and Fire Commissioner

 Bruce Keller has served as Commissioner on the Police and Fire Board since 1988. Commissioner Keller graduated from Luther College in 1973.  He graduated with honors from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1987.  He has authored and co-authored articles which have been published in the Northern Illinois University Law Review and the University of Pittsburgh Law Review.  He practices law in Dixon.

Commissioner Keller and his wife, Kathleen, have three children and two grandchildren.

 

Michael ColeBishop Michael Cole has been in ministry for approximately twenty-eight years; twenty-five of those have been in Pastoral ministry. He came to Dixon to plant a church in 1992 from St. James CME church in Freeport, Il. where he served as a local preacher. In 2002, The Worship Center became an independent ministry. He was officially ordained by World Wide Christian Ministries and The Worship Center Ministries as the Senior Elder and Pastor. On March 20, 2006 he was ordained as a Bishop by Lion of Judah Ministries. He now oversees six churches in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois.  Bishop Cole is a member in good standing of the American College of Counselors, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, and a Master’s in Christian Ministry from St. Martin’s College and Seminary. He has been married to wife Geraldine for thirty-nine years. They have four children (one deceased), and ten grandchildren.
