Palos Hills School Threat

On February 13, 2020, the Dixon High School Resource Officer was contacted by the Palos Hills Illinois Police Department in regards to a threat which was communicated to the Amos Alanzo Stagg High School in their jurisdiction, via Twitter.  Palos Hills advised they were able to identify the social media post had been made by a Dixon High School student.  The student was immediately located and Dixon officers began conducting an investigation to ensure there was not a safety issue at the Dixon High School, and to assist Palos Hills.

Palos Hills investigators arrived in Dixon to interview the student and the student was subsequently taken into custody by Palos Hills Police.  It was determined the social media post was only implied towards Palos Hills and nothing was posted about the Dixon High School.  At no time were there any safety issues concerning our high school.

The charges are merely an allegation and all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
