Dixon Police Seek Public’s Assistance Regarding Shooting

On Tuesday, November 19th at approximately 10:19 p.m., Dixon Police Officers responded to the 400 block of South Crawford Avenue after a report of shots being fired in the area.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that the residence of 419 South Crawford Avenue had been struck with multiple rounds of gunfire.  The residence was occupied at the time of the shooting; however, no one was injured.  Investigators are actively pursuing a number of leads obtained during the investigation.

The Department is requesting assistance from the public in an effort to learn the identity of the subject(s) responsible for this incident.  Anyone with information is urged to contact the Dixon Police Department at 288-4411 or Ogle-Lee Crimestoppers at 1-888-CAUGHT U (1-888-228-4488).  Callers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1000.00 that leads to an arrest.
