Youth - Library

The youth library offers a large collection of materials - from board books to chapter books, in addition to audio books and magazines.

The library is currently offering many online activities for youth of all ages.  Visit dixonpubliclibrary.bookpoints.org to register for our summer reading program.   This program is a fun place for the whole family to keep track of what they read during the summer.  There will be reading challenges and opportunities to win prizes for all ages.  All you need to participate is a library card in good standing.  All residents within the city limits of Dixon are entitled to library cards.  However, because of the current situation, we are offering temporary cards for both residents and non-residents that will expire on August 15th.  This card allows access to our ebook and e-audiobook resources, in addition to participation in the online summer reading program. Once we reopen for normal business, those who wish to extend their card will need to come to the library and show proof of address and sign a paper registration card agreement. Non-residents will need to pay the rural fee for the year, which is currently $75 and covers the entire household. To sign up, email your name, address, and date of birth (we use this to assign your PIN) to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Weekly schedule updates will be posted on here and on our DPL Kids Facebook page.
