The youth library offers a large collection of materials - from board books to chapter books, in addition to audio books and magazines.

NEW - Use ABCMouse Early Learning Academy for free at the Dixon Public Library.

Tales for Tots and Raising Readers Preschool storytimes will return in the fall. 

Our 2018 Summer Reading Program theme is " Reading Takes You Everywhere"!  Registration begins May 1.

Dates for 2018 are June 4 - July 14. In addition to the programs, there will be weekly drawings for youth checking out books or attending programs, and great prizes for readers completing book logs.

Monday family programs for all ages:

June 4th 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.  - Storyteller Mike Speller "Stories From Around the World!"

June 11th 6:00 - 7;00 p.m. - Dave Herzog's Marionettes "Dragon Days and Knight Time" 

June 18th 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Magical fun with entertainer "Mr. Steve"

June 25th 6:00 - 7:15 p.m. - Sarah and David Bingaman "Journey to South America"

July 2nd  2:00 - 3:00 p.m. - Amy Lowe: Singer, Songwriter, Storyteller. "Ellis Island and Immigration"

July 9th  6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Summer Reading Wrap-Up Party

All programs this year take place at the library.

The  Nine-and-Up Club

These special events will be offered for youth ages 9-14.  Stop at the youth circulation desk to sign up and get more information.  All events will take place Tuesdays, on June 5, 12, 19, 26, and July 10.

Not Just a Book Club

For 11-14 year olds. Book discussion, fun programs, and more.  Thursdays, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. June 7, 14, 21, 28 and July 5 and 12.

Drop-In- Crafts

Craft supplies will be available on Wednesdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
