Water Customer Survey, January 2018

WATER USE SURVEY – January 2018

DIXON – The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) requires every water supplier to develop and implement a comprehensive cross connection control program for the elimination of existing cross connections and prevention or protection from all future cross connections.
Regulations are in place to protect our drinking water systems.

A requirement of the program is to conduct a survey of all water customers every two years. The City of Dixon has contracted with Aqua Backflow from Elgin, IL to implement and oversee this survey. Dixon water customers will receive a survey notification in the mail soon.

Please simply follow the directions on the notification for completion of the survey. The survey may be returned free of charge via online form or email; the survey may also be returned via fax or through the U.S. Postal Service. Customers may also return their completed survey forms to the Finance Department at Dixon City Hall, located at 121 West Second Street. Surveys should be completed within 30 days of receipt of the notice.

If you have or require backflow protection, you may also receive notice for compliance (testing, repairs, or installations). Aqua Backflow’s web address is  www.aquabackflow.com, Aqua backflow may be reached at 847-742-2296 or with any questions.

Dixon’s Cross Connection Control Program is designed to safeguard public health. We ask for your cooperation with our program, its enforcement, and any requests for information that comes from Aqua Backflow or utility staff.

Thank you for your cooperation.
